Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)
EcIAs describe whether a proposed development or change of use could result in significant ecological impacts, and what measures are required to avoid unacceptable effects.
EcIAs can be standalone reports or can comprise part of an Environmental Statement.
At Landmark, we believe that EcIA should be an iterative process. As such, we work closely with our clients as early in the design process as possible, to identify potential constraints and opportunities. Simple design amendments at this stage can often reduce or avoid harm to biodiversity, saving costs, minimising the need for pre-commencement planning conditions and enhancing the environmental credentials of the project.
