Senior Ecologist

Skills and expertise

Jennie is a general ecologist experienced in a range of ecological surveys including Phase 1 Habitat Survey and species specific surveys for bats, dormice, badgers, water voles, reptiles and great crested newts. Jennie also has experience working as an ecological clerk of works and undertaking the ecology sections of BREEAM assessments.

Jennie holds licences for great crested newts and dormice.

Career summary

After volunteering at Somerset Environmental Records Centre as a planning and survey assistant, Jennie started her first job in the sector as a field assistant for the Central Science Laboratory conducting mammal surveys. Jennie then started at The Landmark Practice as an ecologist in 2006.

Full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM)

First Job

Jennie’s first job during her gap year before attending university was working in a call centre for an energy supplier “Thank you for waiting, how can I help you?”
