Whilst the Landmark office is well renowned for its delicious home baked treats and well stocked biscuit tin, the number of biscuit packets which we staff were getting through was reaching an alarming number prior to Christmas! At the start of 2016 staff have been making a conscious effort to cut down on sugary snacks, searching for healthier alternatives.
Pushing the biscuit tin to the side, fruit bowls have been placed in both the front and back office for staff to bring in and share fruit. After just over a month, the scheme is going well with a good choice of both fresh and dried fruit to share amongst colleagues. However, on special occasions ….. nobody can ever resist a slice of birthday cake!
We are also continuing with our weekly corporate fitness classes with Functional Fitness. Each Thursday a number of staff participate in a 45 minute group workout session. Rich and Joel organise a range of exercises and games, with every week being completely different from the next. This includes circuits, strength training and ball games. Not only does this keep us fit and healthy: it also develops out team working skills, and provides an opportunity to have a refreshing lunchtime break from the office.
