BREEAM (CfSH) Ecological Assessment

BREEAM (CfSH)

The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) sets the standard for best practice in sustainable building design, construction and operation. The BREEAM/Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) assessment measures performance against established benchmarks to evaluate a building’s specification, design, construction and use. Credits are granted within an ‘ecology’ category for both types of assessments, some of which can only be awarded following a site survey and reporting by a Suitably Qualified Ecologist (SQE).

Our Approach

Landmark ecologists are registered SQEs, can undertake BREEAM/CfSH ecology assessments and can offer advice on measures to enhance the biodiversity value of the site to maximise development credits.

We work closely with our in-house team of landscape architects to develop planting schemes that meet the BREEAM/CfSH objectives of our clients, and can provide management plans to ensure that measures designed to benefit biodiversity are realistic, implementable and sustainable.
