Planning for a Green Future – Cycle to work day at the Landmark Practice

The Landmark Practice is currently celebrating 30 years of practice in Bristol and as our work is focused on the natural and built environment, sustainable business practice remains one of the core values of Landmark.

We are members of the Green Accord scheme and as part of our sustainable travel policy, we’re currently improving and increasing our bike storage facilities to keep up with the demands of increasing numbers of staff cycling to work. Improvements have been brought forward as park of Bristol’s Celebrations as European Green Capital this year and the promotion of ‘Go Green’, encouraging sustainable business practice across the city.  On a regular basis we already have more than 25 % of Landmark staff travelling by bike to the office and hopefully our improved facilities will encourage even more to take up two wheels.

The 3rd September was ‘Cycle to Work Day’ and this was a resounding success at Landmark, with over 50 % of staff taking part and cycling to the office … the promise of bacon rolls and fresh fruit for breakfast was certainly encouragement for most! Staff travelled a range of distances from one to seven miles from in and around Bristol and even as far as Wales, combining with public transport.

Congratulations to all that took part!
