Gemma provides general environmental planning advice but specialises in particular in environmental feasibility studies, project management, coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and preparing Environmental Statements (ES). Recent projects have included coordination of strategic ecology and landscape assessents to inform residential site promotion, management of EIAs for tourism/holiday development, renewables (wind and solar PV) and residential developments.
Gemma is a Chartered Environmentalist, a full Member of CIEEM and ISEP and an ISEP Registered EIA Practitioner, with over 20 years’ experience in the consultancy sector.
Specialist interest
EIA co-ordination and preparing Environmental Management Plans to streamline the identification and implementation of proportionate effective and achievable measures to reduce environmental impact of developments.
Career summary
Gemma’s career as an environmental planner began in with the receipt of a distinction grade on her MSc in Environmental Assessment and Management from Oxford Brookes University. Her workplace experience began with four months at Carter Ecological where she assisted with impact assessment work before beginning with The Landmark Practice as an Environmental Planner in 2005.
