Ecological Assessment

Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)

We tailor our ecology reports to meet the needs of each commission – from Preliminary Ecological Appraisal to inform strategic decisions on development and land management, to full Ecological Impact Assessment (ECIA). At Landmark, we believe that ecological assessment should be an iterative process that provides solutions that add value to schemes and enable quality development.

Our Approach

As such, we work closely with our clients as early in the design process as possible, to identify critical issues and opportunities, enabling our clients to manage risks and budgets and identify true value.

Simple design amendments at this stage can often reduce or avoid harm to biodiversity, providing biodversity net gain, saving costs, minimising the need for pre-commencement planning conditions and enhancing the environmental credentials of the project.

We would thoroughly recommend The Landmark Practice who are very professional with a style of communication that means they are a pleasure to work with. All of the work which has been produced on our scheme is of a high quality, that is consistently thorough, and clear for all parties concerned
