Last week Gemma joined representatives from Ambition Community Energy and the Bristol Energy Network in running the ‘Partnerology’ game at the 2023 West Of England Schools Summit at Aerospace Bristol, hosted by Metro Mayor Dan Norris, and co-designed with Creative Youth Network.
Over 150 local young people from 60 secondary schools attended the Schools Summit to learn about the careers of the future they might follow and make their voices heard on key regional issues affecting their lives.
‘Partnerology’ is a purpose designed giant monopoly board game where participants explore policy related to community energy and net zero, with questions designed to help the students develop their ideas. Gemma joined others with experience in delivering low carbon and renewable energy, including project managers, data specialists and engineers, in guiding the students around the board, prompting discussion and a little ‘outside the box’ thinking. The students brought a fantastic range of ideas along with a good dose of enthusiasm.
